to the purchase page RENTING GWS Show Grown Without Schooling in your support group or raise money by hosting a public screening. We offer a 7-day support group/conference rental intended for support groups and homeschooling conferences that want to show GWS. For $200 plus shipping and handling, you and your group can privately or publicly show GWS on a theatre-style projector or large screen TV as often as you like over the course of the rental week. Charge admission or host the screening(s) for free. Once the rental period is over, simply mail the tape back to us in the postage-paid mailer included with the package. STUDY GUIDE We’ve found that Grown Without Schooling stimulates lively conversation. Included with the rental is a study guide designed to facilitate group discussion. The booklet provides provocative questions and highlights many of the subtle nuances scattered throughout the documentary. SUPPORT GWS Grown Without Schooling was produced specifically for homeschooling families, support groups and conferences. We want as many homeschooling families as possible to watch GWS. At the same time, documentaries are extremely expensive to produce and we’re poor grown homeschoolers who need to repay our loans. The 7-day support group/conference rental is our way of giving GWS to the homeschooling community, financing the documentary, and hopefully also encouraging individuals and families to buy GWS once it has been shown in their area. BRING THE PRODUCER TO YOUR SCREENING Note that the producer of Grown Without Schooling, Peter Kowalke, is also available to speak at screenings. Peter is a lifelong homeschooler, longstanding columnist for Home Education Magazine and a popular speaker at homeschooling conferences. He can lead discussions about the documentary and/or speak about other topics such as the transition to college or learning to read late. The support group/rental fee is only $150 if Peter attends, although you must also pay for his travel, food and lodging (he loves to stay with homeschooling families), as well as his $125/day speaking fee.
